  • Meet us Half Way

Sorry if this is rambling, but there a few things that I wanted to add.

The way this game is progressing, I'd expect it to be dead within the next 6 months. Opening new servers will only last so long before people completely abandon the game. Every time a new server is opened, it kills the older server. New players aren't joining in mass. Current players are leaving older servers to go to the new one. New players need to be attracted to this game. As of now, there is no reason for CS1 players to join as this is just a simplified version of the original. New features different from CS1 need to be added to the game to attract CS1 players and new players alike.

Features like Monster Handbook are a slap to the face to 99% of your player base. The only thing people can do is the first row for a whopping total boost of 800 HP. The second to last rows are a complete waste of money. Since Mark of God is only available through the fate shop, you'd need to spend 3000 crystals to max everything on the 2nd row, which would only give you +50 to pdef and mdef and +2000 to HP....and that's only the 2nd row!!! The 3rd row would require 12,000 crystals!!! Developers need to meet us half way here. Instead of introducing new features that require you to spend money to take advantage of, bring in systems that could be utilized by all players. Additional content could be added to those features that would then allow people the opportunity to spend money to get even stronger. Unless Mark of God starts to drop in dungeons or become available in events, most people have no interest in completing anything except the 1st row. This was one of the 1st new features introduced in a long time and it is virtually useless. At least with the wardrobe and pet hut we received a good amount of open slots that provided a decent stat boost without spending anything. Yellow pets are available in World Overlord and 3x flower costumes are available in the flower gifting system.

Create a new dungeon that could drop Mark of God, Space Quartz, Space Rock or Corral Quartz. Open it only during limited times and limited attempts so it can't be exploited. Or create limited events that focus on some of these items. As much the Quartermaster Token system is boring, allow these items to be purchased there. Personally, I don't want things handed to me. Creating a challenge would only draw players to play and give us an opportunity to develop without feeling the need to spend money. I am a VIP4 and have no problem spending money for good content, but don't want to be required to spend money to be able to use different features.

In another thread, MemoryLane said that devs ask for suggestions to be forwarded to them (and I have plenty), but have no interest in sharing them (and would encourage other players not to as well). Giving r2 another way to exploit it's player base is not something i'm interested in taking part of. You need to change how you treat your player base. It's ridiculous that it takes 10 days for r2 to fix a player's basic attack. It's ridiculous that it takes weeks to have items returned from a bugged sort system that has been known about for months. Respond to tickets! Fix known bugs! Treat your player base as it should be treated because we are the ones that are giving you money!

Every new feature doesn't need to be monetized. If you create content that draws people to play, some will spend money to play and enjoy the game.

One last thing...Devs need to start taking part of the community. We feel completely ignored and basically just wonder when the game will be shut down.

I like this game and want to help it grow, but r2 needs to meet us half way.

I agree with this person to an extent. I mean seriously, I would not be opposed to having the ability to progress in Monster Book. Even if the drop rate for Mark Of God is like 1 in 20 attempts at least it gives something to work forward to and has a clear ending and will get players to come back to the game the next day. I mean we were spoon fed to level 80 and after that there really isn't content left in the game. I'm legit putting points in something other than my main offensive Elite stats just so I have a clear goal in sight and can actually feel like I'm progressing instead of just gaining the ability to one shot bosses and continuing to have the ability to 1 shot bosses except that it'll show a higher number over time. We need to feel like we're making actual progression. However, I would much rather see the updates gradually release so it doesn't just feel like we're rushed to catch up in content. Like maybe an update every month or so with new stuff. Even adding to the world map and making it larger in whole. Just something to add to the experience.

I'd like to add that while new players aren't being attracted, some players are creating hordes of alts (apparently to exploit or create glitches) which might give the appearance of new sign-ups depending on how they're doing it. I agree about new content, to an extent, but CS1 on at least Aeria got totally overrun by new content to the point that it was just like "why is there so much random stuff that I can't even do it all if I played 24/7". I like elite levels and super titles, those are very good new systems. I'll have a think about what the design choices they represent to me and why monster handbook doesn't represent a similar design choice and come back when I've thought about that; off the top of my head, they're more passive and allow more choice in letting me get the stat upgrades that I personally think are best for my character, not just a particular stat.

I wasn't implying that we should be inundated with new content. It should be released slowly so we have time to develop each new system. What I am concerned about is the amount of new content that has been added since the initial launch 3 months ago.

Unless I'm wrong, we've had four new systems released since the initial launch:

Mount Corral - requires money. no time or effort required to use this. you would need to purchase 10 mounts to max the 1st row. after that...40 more mounts plus the added cost of 600 coral quartz at 60 crystals each to unlock the other slots. in the off chance that someone wanted to max this feature, you would need to spend ~50,000 (assuming 1k per mount) and another 36,000 to purchase enough coral quartz to unlock all the slots!

Pet Hut - This one is doable without spending money. you could easily get the 10 pets from world overlord in a few weeks. after that, you are required to spend money

Wardrobe - This is also doable without spending money, but very minimal effort required. with the way servers are dying, you can easily get the 1st-3rd place costumes in less than a week with minimal effort. i've seen people win 1st with 5 roses. after that you are required to spend money.

Monster Handbook - You can easily max the 1st row in less than a week. after that, you are required to spend money

These features offer very little to people without spending A LOT of money. Excessive new content would be just as bad as content that mainly requires spending money.
