pet merge question

i have a teeka and i want to get it to gen 2, so i got another teeka.

But i was thinking teeka's are tough to get. so should i merge teeka1 with another pet type
then merge teeka2 with another pet type that way i can make a teeka gen 3 easier
or is it recomended to use teeka in all my merging?

also how many pet breeding stones should i have and how many breeding insurance tokens should i have?

I suggest full teeka, and higher success rate.
it's easy to do have guild crops/play daily and do GR.
breeding stones.. can't remember. :3
