Not such a good idea......If this happens people will not log off their accounts and create massive lag. Also if Soul Shards are that easy to get, there won't be any challenge in this game. Not to mention there are already lots of ways to get Soul Shards in game like Ladder, SRC exchange, etc.

As a person who has 21k coupons, I fully support this idea :P LOL

Make it 1000 coupons per soul shard.

That way even the people with lots of coupons can only get like 20-30 of them until they have to start stocking up again....

Then again, I do worry about the lag it might create from people who leave their mains on. For a regular person, they'd leave on a toon for 42 days, for a vip,21 days. (assuming they don't spend coupons on anything else)
