Mount Equipment
So everyone has noticed the new Mount Equipment System.
And everyone has been asking for a guide, so here we go. I will go over all of the different tabs, the bonus percentages, and how to work your mount equipment to the best of your abilities.
So here is the equipment that I have been working on my Jiyaori:
Im sure you will notice the level of my Jiyaori is different than that of my equipment, and I will go over that in a few minutes.
First lets go over the four equipment types:
Mask: Pldrons: Cuirass: Culet:
Each of these equipment pieces have a Main Soul Attribute, this will show both under the icon for the Equipment:
and on enhance screen:
The Main Soul Attribute is important as you get % bonuses based on your secondary soul attributes.
As you can see, this piece has Water as a Main Soul and I have two Water Secondary Souls, and that gives a 7% bonus. If you have three matching Secondary souls then the boost is 22%.
All attributes and bonuses are added to base stats, meaning that any % boosts are for the entire base stat, and are also effected by any % boosts in your soul, or anywhere else you might have % boosts.
Okay, let us start with the Enhance tab:
The Enhance tab is where you would level up your equipment.
This is the Enhance screen for my Culet:
So the two items that you need are Beast Soul: and Purified Crystals:
The Beast Souls drop in all level 30+ dungeons dropping from the bosses. Or you can purchase them from the Fate Shop at 60 crystals per Beast Soul
For each click on your equipment piece you need 10 Beast Souls and 10 Purified Crystals
You can only level your mount equipment 2 times higher than the level of your mount.
The Max level for equipment is level 40 currently.
So to level 1 piece of mount equipment you need 400 beast souls and 400 purified crystals, and to level all 4 of your mount equipment from level 1 to level 40 you need 1,600 beast souls and 1,600 purified crystals.
If you were to use crystals to purchase all of the required Beast Souls needed to level your equipment from level 1 to level 40 then the total cost in crystals would be 96,000 crystals.
Each click on enhancement seems to work like this:
Atk additional 30 points per click
HP and MP is an additional 50 points per click
Def additional 30 points per click
Heal additional 15 points per click
The Souls and the Attributes that you get on each piece of equipment is RANDOM! Each and every mount that you have is going to have different random combinations of souls and attributes.
Refine Tab:
Okay in the refine tab you can add to or subtract from the attribute stats of your equipment.
The cost of one click on Refine is one beast soul:
So, you click on refine and it adds, subtracts or does nothing to your stats on the equipment:
As you can see, I clicked one time and for the MATK I got a 0 boost, for Heal I got a +6 gain and for PDEF I got -15.
Now you do NOT have to keep those stat changes.
If you get something that you like then all you have to do is click the save button
If you do not like the stats then you can just refine again over the top of the old refine.
Now I am sure that you have seen this nice little check box:
So what this does it that it makes it so that you are not going to get any negative stats.
But as a caution it does NOT promise to give any boosts at all. There is a chance of getting a 0 with the 240 xtals option.
Now we have Reforge:
You have two options under reforge, I will show you them both.
Regardless of the type of Reforge you use the cost is 500 crystal
Reforge Soul:
Reforging your soul will give you new Secondary Souls. ALL THREE WILL CHANGE. AND ALL THREE ARE RANDOM!
and it took me 14 clicks to get this
Reforge Attribute:
Reforging your attributes will give you new attributes. ALL THREE WILL CHANGE, AND ALL THREE WILL BE RANDOM!
Now obviously as a priest then I would prefer not to keep those stat changes, so lets see how many clicks it takes me to get something good. This took me 11 clicks for something more favorable
Either way to keep the attribute changes you must click on the save button. Then you will get a pop-up making sure that you are sure that you want to save the attributes or soul changes:
Now we will talk about the Inherit tab.
This is the best part of the system for sure.
This is what it looks like:
First you select the mount with the equipment that you have worked on and then you select the mount you would like to move it to. So let me move the equipment that I have been working on my Jiyaori to another mount, lets say my snail
because he is cute.
If you hover over the confirm button it will show you that it costs 1 beast soul to Inherit your equipment to another mount
Also, I should throw out there that you can move any level of equipment onto any level mount. So basically you can use any mount that you like to create the best equipment and then move it onto your main use mount.
WARNING:
If you are going to upgrade your mount further,
then you need to move the equipment off of the mount using the Inherit system.
If it is not a mount that you keep the base form when upgrading (Like a Battle Bear to a Gorilla Titan) then you WILL lose your equipment.
From my tests if you keep the base mount (like I would keep my Jiyaori upgrading to a Kyubi) then you keep your equipment,
but I still caution on moving your equipment to another mount using the Inherit system, just in case.
