This guide is meant for people who know a bit about CS, but maybe stopped playing for a few months.
1: Dungeons.
Lots of dungeons to do. VIP people get 8 runs per dungeon while non-VIPs get 5. Higher level dungeons (Sacrificial Relics, Killer's Den, and Psychodelica) can drop Dragon Crystals. Exelorn dungeons can get you 7 PCs and Major Enchantment Crystals.
2: Gear
There is savage gear and slayer gear available from general Krahn in starglade. You can also get gear by synthesizing it from shards. Frag weapons are special and require frageron forge. A good frag will help you in battle.
3: Pets
Many pets now. You can get pet eggs from dragon coins if you're lucky. Teeka eggs can be earned with guild contribution points. Bone Dragon Eggs are common in events these days and so there will be many sellers right now. You can redeem rewards for pets, and their morphs, from the event master in starglade.
4: Rewards
Event master has rewards for pets, mounts, and wings. Make sure you get them before you upgrade more as you can't redeem previous rewards.
5: Soul
Soul requires soul shards. You can get them from trading SRCs (dropped in Bath) at the Ranger in tree of life. You get them from finishing your ladder, and you can also get them from special treasures in Treasure Trove and Avernal.
6: Ladder
Ladder goes up to floor 70 now. Each 10 floor gets you 1 SS. So dying at or beating level 70 gets you 7 Soul Shards.
7: Treasure Trove 20:30-21:30
Awesome new event that is unfortunately at a bad, overcrowded time. You can get small treasures from killing mobs and you can earn treasures by reaching level 6. Please read a guide (or the directions given to you at the beginning of each floor) to figure out how to get to the next level. Hint: you may want to find a partner to kill 15 times at the beginning if you want to reach floor 6.
8: Avernal 13:30-14:00 or 21:00 to 21:30
Avernal can earn you rewards. You get points for ranking and you can get 25 or 0 points for not ranking, depending on how far down you are. You can redeem points for packs. I suggest waiting until 225 points to get the Avernal Pack that gives you 5 rewards.
9: Survival of the Fittest 20:30 to 21:00
An event where you have to get to a specific point on the map without letting the lightning teleport you back to the beginning. People with really laggy connections need not even bother, but for everyone else it's a good way to earn special badges that you can synthesize for prizes (like FL eggs and GMUTs)
10: Crypt
Event where you have to figure out the correct path to get to the last floor. Each floor has a NPC you can talk to in order to get exp and rewards. On the last floor, you can also fight a monster (if it hasn't been killed yet) and whoever wins the kill get prizes.
11: Lucky Guess
Event at 5:45PM server time (17:45 for 24hour people). Pick a number and hope it wins. Winning number gets 1 Black Dragon Coin, 1 Ethereal Wing, and 1 Gmut. Winning number is announced at 18:00 and a 15-minute torch will spawn in each of the rooms.
12: Goddess system
Believing in a goddess will let your learn blessing (3 hour buffs) you can sell to people. The currency is Charm, which you get from roses. You can buy roses from people or the cash shop. They are often consolation prizes in events. You do not need to invest in a goddess yourself if you just want to buy blessings from others. Learning blessings requires loyalty (earned by being online) and crystals. You can also exchange charm for prestige (only used for a title), or crystals.
13: Stuff that hasn't changed.
Pretty much everything else. PVP events like Seng, GRB, Tamalan and Dragonspine were not covered because they haven't changed.

Eidolon rebirth is here: get to level 100 scion, get items from exelorn Nightmare, and you can rebirth.
Rebirth Expedition quests: Scions and eidolons can get a daily quest from the goddess in Tyria village. Completing the quest gives you a pack that can hand out 3 sets of good rewards!
Sperions: you can get the quest as a scion. You have to kill the mobs specified. To get to them you need to get to go to the Heavenly Isle. There are 3 ways to get there: 1) reach level 75 and talk to the ladder NPC guy in Tree of life. 2) Get the Fallen Angel rebirth quest and talk to the goddess to teleport. 3) Be married to someone who falls into categories 1 and 2 and have teleport rings.
Sperion-specific dungeons:
Talk to the sperion master in Starglade to see 2 dungeons: Nargon and Spernal.
Nargon: mobs and bosses give out earth soul orbs that are used to level your sperion
Spernal: gives out spirits (aka: sperion gems), and sperion socketing rod shards that can be combined to make sperion socketing rods so you can socket your spirits. Spirits can be synthesized into higher level spirits. There are 7 bosses each with an ailment you are inflicted. Defeating a bunch removes the ailment, but makes the other bosses stronger.
Morphing sperions: requires your sperion to have max level and you'll need Soul Prints. You can buy them in the shop or get them from events (or buy them from people who have them).
