  • Mortal Hunter Guides (AM - Nature - Hybrid - Test Hybrid)

Hades here with a Mortal Ranger Guide. This will be a lengthy guide, so to skip to what you want to find, CTRL+F and type in the A) B) C) D)

There will be 5 Parts to this guide to make it simpler, Each part is Labeled below.

    A) Stats
    B) Build (1 2 3 4)
    C) Armor Weapons Mounts Wings (1 2.1 2.2 3.1 3.2 4.1 4.2 5.1 5.2 6 7 8)
    D) Farming (1.1 1.2 1.3 2)
    E) link to Scion
    A) Stats

To Start, we're going to talk about stat points, and what you should do with the points you get every level.

    http://prntscr.com/m429p (Starting Stats for Ranger's)

Every time you level, you have three points, which you can put in Strength, Agility, Intelelct, or Endurance (Depending on your class and build, But this is a ranger guide so lets focus on that for
    now).

For Anti-Mage (Which is physical attacks and nothing but) You want to put ALL points into strength for maximum damage. Or you can go 2str 1agi after your str hits 100 by itself, meaning take
all your gear off and it's sitting at 100. (Note, going pure strength will make you kill faster, but you don't have that extra hit / crit you would have if you went 2str 1agi after your str hit 100
    with no gear)

The Nature build, on the other hand, is a bit more complicated. Seeing as it's all Magic Attacks, you want to go either PURE int, or 2 Int one agi (a little bit extra hit / crit) or 2 agi 1 int (more
crit / hit then damage). I would personally recommend going 2 int 1 agi, so you still have massive MATK but still have that extra bit of hit / crit chance.
However! For HYBRID (AKA Anti-Mage / Nature heals) I'd go 2str / 1 int every 6 levels so you don't run out of mana When the heals go off.

    B) Build
    B1 - Pro's / con's
    B2 - Pure anti-mage Build
    B3 - Pure Nature Build
    B4 - Hybrid Build

    B1
Next, we're going to talk about the PRO's and CON's of both Anti-Mage and Nature Talent's and tree's

To start this Section i'd like to show you what the Tree's look like, but I can't figure out for the life of me how to make it to where the pic shows up on the guide, so going to post screenshots
instead :P just rolled a new ranger for this (And fact I love rangers for farming gems)
    Anti-Mage Tree Nature Tree
    http://prntscr.com/m422v http://prntscr.com/m427e
    http://prntscr.com/m425s http://prntscr.com/m42d7

    The Pro's / Con's of Anti-Mage.
Pro's: Massive Damage, Luck Increasing Talent (Increases Luck up to 10), MDEF talents (Good for PVP against those pesky mages and priests) Silencing shot and interrupting shot (Also good against
mages and priests) Mana Regen Skill (up to 15 mana regen / 3 seconds bonus) Fun AOE's (Good for when you're in seng and rogues try to stealth and run :P) TWO Talent's that increase your PATK
(24% increase on one and lasts 10 seconds [SCION / EIDOLON ONLY] and one that increases your PATK by 20% once every 20 seconds) Traps that root the first enemy that walks into it for a period
of time (max : 5 seconds) A shot that decreases target's defenses.
Con's: Low survivability for solo dungeons (Hard / nightmare) (If you don't put points into nature for heals) If you go PURE Anti-Mage - low low LOW survivability in battlegrounds.

    Pro's / Con's of NATURE
PRO'S Massive damage over time (DOT's) Heals and HOTs (Heal over Times) Skill that increases MATK and Hit rating permantly, Ankle Shot (slows target) Traps that do damage to targets and traps
that root targets. 10% chance to increase movement speed by 30% for 5 seconds. You also have something that'll annoy knights :P It's called Tidal Arrow - Knocks the target back. If you're in seng
and you're dragon hooked by a knight, it's pretty much over for you.
CON's: You don't have the massive damage that ANTI-MAGE has, (Pretty much only con).

    B2
    Pure ANTI-MAGE.
For starters, put ALL points into strength, that way you have MAXIMUM damage seeing as the ANTI-MAGE tree is nothing but physical attacks (Mentioned ealier) You want to put points in the
    following Skills as I say

    Level 2 Fire Arrow 1/5
    Level 4 Anti-Magic Shield 1/5
    Level 6 Save
    Level 8 Save

Side Note: You can do any variation of this that you wish, as long as you only keep 1 point in those that say 1 point.

    B3
    Pure NATURE.

Put ALL points into INT, same reason you'd go full STR with ANTI-MAGE 100% possable damage. Int ALSO boost your mana and MDEF. Put points into NATURE as I say.

Side Note. You can do any variation of this that you wish, as long as you only keep 1 point in those that say 1 point.

    B4
    HYBRID
Before I get started on this, a HYBRID build takes the BEST of both tree's. For example: Priests have Blood and Holy - You take the Buffs and heals from Holy tree, along with thederble Killing
    machine (metaphorically speaking of course).
In Order from this build to work, you have to understand that Survivle =/= Damage.
Also, there are TWO hybrid builds for Rangers, going to cover both of them so Don't worry.
The First build is more focused on NATURE then anything, yet takes points from ANTI-MAGE to increase defenses.
For this build, you want to do 3INT until you have 200int with no gear on, then do 2INT 1AGI.
    Level 2 Anti-Magic Shield 1/5
    Level 4 Magic Arrow 1/5
    Level 6 Save
    Level 8 Save
    Level 10 Elven Swiftness 1/5 Fortune's Kiss 1/5 Double Shot 1/5
    Level 12 Elven Swiftness 2/5
    Level 14 Save
    Level 16 Save
    Level 18 Save
    Level 20 Void's Edge 1/5 Ankle shot 1/5 Oak's Blessing 1/5 Trailing Arrow 1/5
    Level 22 Elven Swiftness 2/5
    Level 24 Fortune's Kiss 2/5
    Level 26 Elven Swiftness 3/5
    Level 28 Save
Level 30 Quick Heal 1/5 Silencing Strike 1/5
    Level 32 Fortune's Kiss 3/5
    Level 34 Elven Swiftness 4/5
    Level 36 Save
    Level 38 Save
Level 40 Improved Anti-Magic Shell 1/5 Improved Magic Arrow 1/5 Tidal Arrow 1/5
    Level 42 Fortune's Kiss 4/5
    Level 44 Elven Swiftness 5/5
    Level 46 Fortune's Kiss 5/5
    Level 48 Save
    Level 50 Barkskin 2/5
    Level 52 Barkskin 3/5
    Level 54 Barkskin 4/5
    Level 56 Barkskin 5/5
    Level 58 Save
    Level 60 Improved Oak's Blessing 1/5 Tether Trap 1/5
    Level 62 Improved Oak's Blessing 2/5
    Level 64 Save
    Level 66 Save
    Level 68 Save
    Level 70 Panic 1/5 Mana Spring 3/5
    Level 72 Mana Spring 4/5
    Level 74 Mana Spring 5/5
    Level 76 Save
    Level 78 Save
Level 80 Conversion 1/5 Master Magic Arrow 2/5

The next HYBRID build is more based on ANTI-MAGE, meaning it's going to be 90% PATK. So do 3STR untill you have 200 str with no gear on, then do 2str 1int to help with your mana.
Also, with this build you NEED to get the epic set pieces for extra luck, seeing as you don't get Fortune's Kiss, you also don't get Tidal Rush, which increases PATK once every 20 seconds.

NOTE! THIS IS A TEST BUILD THERE WILL BE EDIT'S IF YOU TEST IT AND FIND FLAWS WHILST DOING SO COMMENT AND I'LL MAKE CHANGES AFTER I TEST WHAT YOU DID AS WELL!

As I said earlier, Just testing this one out for now, If you wish to try it, do so at your own risk.

    C) Armor Weapons Mounts Wings

    C1 Introduction
Gear Plays an Important Role in ANY MMO / MMORPG, as it provide's Defenses, STR, INT, AGI, and END. Without gear, you'd just be a Guy in Prison who Dropped the Saop. There are multiple
types of gear, mounts, and wings in the game, Multiple Sets that you can mix and match to get High Survivability whilst maintaining maximum damage.

    C2.1 Anti-Mage Gear
For ANTI-MAGE Get the EPIC DRAGONSLAYER(Knight, Ranger) SETS (I.E. Dragonslayer's Ethereal set, Dragonslayer's Bloodforged Set) The Dragonslayer Sets Improve your strength, PATK, Defenses,
Luck (Which increases chances of max damage attacks)

    C2.2 Anti-Mage Gems
Personally I'd get nothing but level 6 and 7 PATK, MDEF, and PDEF gems. That's Excellent and Superior Ruby Sapphire and Amber.

    C3.1 Nature Gear
For NATURE get the SAINT (Priest, Ranger) Sets (I.E Saint's Etheral Set, and Saint's Bloodforged Set) The Saint's set increases Int, Heal, magic Attack, Casting Speed, Dodge, MP Regen and
    increases Alll Attributes.

    C3.2 Nature Gems
For Nature Ranger's all attacks are based on MAGIC ATTACKS, so get MATK gems (Topaz) and the same mdef / pdef gems you would get as an Anti-Mage ranger.

C4.1 Hybrid's Based on PATK with heals Gear.
For HYBRID's who have points into Nature for the Heals, I'd recomend going 3/3 or 4/3 (In Favor of Dragonslayer's sets) that way you can have that small boost to INT and Heals.

C4.2 Hybrid's Based on PATK with heals GEMS
Get the same gems you'd get if you were a Pure Anti-Mage Ranger.

C5.1 Test Hybrid (Hybrid Based on MATK with points into AM for extra AOE / Extra MDEF / silence and interupts)
Honestly don't know with this one, going to Try 3/3 (Saint / Dragonslayer) or 4/2 (Saint / Dragonslayer)

C5.2 Test Hybrid (Hybrid Based on MATK with points into AM for extra AOE / Extra MDEF / silence and interupts)
Honestly don't know with this one, I WANT to say you do the same thing you'd do with Anti Mage, but throw in a PATK gem or two in your weapon.. Don't know yet... Still testing.

    C6 PVP Armor / Weapon
Some of the BEST gear in the game, no matter what build you are, are the Savage (40) and Slayer (Required level 80, must have the Equivilant color [Green Blue Yellow Purple] Savage gear to get
and required amount of Badges[Gold Silver Bronze] and Honor to get) It is also one of the most complicated Seeing as you have to be Baron to ArchDuke to get. Easiest way to get HONOR is to do
Guild Dailies, Get to Know (30-39) Seng, and Daily Hunts. (List of Honor Ranks http://prntscr.com/m4tpv)

    C7 Wings And Mounts
Wings and Mounts are one of the minor things on Crystal Saga, they Increase your Health, PATK / MATK, PDEF / MDEF, Healing, and Movement Speed. However... The Materials Required to upgrade
wings and mounts becomes costly later on in the game. Heroic Wings (Upgrades wings to Extreme Fire wings - Required level 50) and Mount Upgrade tokens(Upgrades the Turtle mount to the
Panther, the Panther and Rabid Racoon to the Scorpion, The Scorpion and Horse to the Battle Bear) are relativly cheap (Around 50s for HW and 3-5s for MUTs). The Greater Mount Upgrade Tokens
(Used to upgrade Battle Bear and above) and Ethereal Wings (Used to upgrade Demi-God[60] Wings and above) on the other hand are a Bit Pricey, they usually go for anywhere between 10 and 20
    Gold.

    C8 TIPS

If you have any TIPS For how to get MUTs GMUTs HW EW or faster ways to get PVP gear- Post in a comment and I will Quote you here.

    D1.1 : Solo Dungeon
Basically, best thing to do is buy mana / health orbs (30 coupons, 145 crystals, or check player shops, they usually go for 4-10 gold) and Set your health pots for 99%.
For attacks Put your Hardest Hitters in.
(Side note, if you can, skip all the trash [Non Boss Mobs]) and head straight to bosses, killing only the trash that stays on you)

    D1.2 Solo Dungeon Gear Tips
If you can, go half in half on your gear (Meaning half PLAYER VS PLAYER [Savage / Slayer Set] and Half PLAYER VS EVERYONE [Epic Ethereal etc etc]) That way you have High survivability yet
still have enough Damage kicking out to kill bosses faster

DI.3 : Open World (I.E. Sukemo Bluff, Cheurna Gorge, etc etc)

You'll kill everything that moves within seconds, not really much to do besides set it to 3 screens, take off Higher mana costing shots to conserve mana, set heals/mana to around 15% and you're
good, However, best thing to do whilst afk farming, is set it to where it only picks up ITEMS! You can sell the gems for a pretty penny

    D2 TIPS
Whilst AFK Farming, go to L5 or L4 To get the maximum amount of killing in without others running through and afking right beside you.
