Of course they are worth redeeming... When you get higher level gear that can socket them. Just be patient for now, maybe they will make the Slayers socketable. They did make all the offhands, including Heart of Eden socketable, so it's definitely possible that these accessories will come.

Well we can't say for certain what they will do, but the fact that Eden is now sockatable does give hope.
