I suppose he meant the daily salary from King Valcroy, depending on your honor. (Fast food discount coupons for being a high-ranking Duke for example ).

Ya the game is clearly meant to be coupon easy to get and honor badge difficult to get because honor badge is one of the major thing to make your avatar stronger ( through insigna and savage/slayer exchange). Plus there are events for honor badges. Imagine if you get your honor badges through the "Military Salary" quest through King Valcroy at Starglade, then i bet the honor badges event doesnt really play a significant important.
