Is there a server that is not PVP after lvl 20? I don't mind the grind but being over 60 yrs old, am just not into getting killed every time I go somewhere new... especially when the person who sent me back is camping out to kill whoever comes through the portal. Really takes away from the game.

Characters over lvl 20 can engage in PvP. On PvP servers, PvP can take place on almost every map, except for towns. Your only protection is AFK Protection, switching instances, and paying attention while traveling.
On PvE servers, PvP only takes place on battleground maps, Champion's Bluff, and Kaymo Mountain. If you are questing in Kaymo Mountain, make sure you are in peace mode and take advantage of the afk protection that starts 1 minute after going into afk mode. This will keep you safe while you are doing your quests most of the day. Once you are done with your quests there, you'll have very little worry about PvP, unless you are in Guild Resource, Sengolia, Delivery, and DragonSpine (which are all battlegrounds with PvP enabled).New R2 Community Discord Server: https://discord.gg/VFMzFDqKq5

Is there nothing to deter someone who is 50 levels higher than you from camping out quest turn in points on a PVE server and the "much lower than is appropriate for them to be hanging out in" areas? Same person day after day several times a day always killing me in 1-3 hits and chasing me everywhere. It's getting tiresome fast. Someone attacking me is acceptable provided I have a small, itty bitty chance of defending myself. But I don't even have that. I thought I could play in relative peace on a PVE one but its really not much different when you are leveling in that particular area.Comment
