it says alot of cool stuff in the gift pack but everytime I consume it, a boos comes out and fights me, I'm forced to fight it and get some worthless items to sell from it, what exactly is this 'good friend gift pack' anyways?

Worthless?
Those packs are a troller's best friend. I actually enjoy opening the spoof packs (of course not in Starglade L1 I still have my courtesy over other players). You can get some goodies from those bosses too, just not from hard dungeons but still worth it.
Plus, you don't need to travel all the way to the boss' dungeon, aaaaaaand there might be some people to help you out to. I like both the real packs and the spoof packs.

Ok, you get HWings from revenant's vault hard/NM yeah?
Well these bosses are more from a normal revenant's vault, and if you try going all the way to twilight caverns, bosses from vault normal don't drop any HWings. Usually they just drop normal ethreal shards (the ones that have a yellow border) and maybe a few socketing rods or chipped gems.
