It doesn't change the fact that what kept up the supply and demand for GMUTs were all the alts obtaining the Battle Bear reward.
With them implementing one of the best ways to keep up the supply bound, means the demand will go up. With the demand going up, the prices will go up.
You will be looking to pay more than you usually would for GMUTs than you would have in the past.

I got my GT without using a single mount extravaganza alt or buying from other players.
RB quest + trove + lucky guess + luck with BDC.
These bring plenty of gmuts in the market too.

I suppose we can't know for sure how this is going to affect supply and demand right away. We'll probably see the effects of it fluctuate over the week, and it'll probably settle (for higher or lower) next week.
