You may not post a referral link anywhere in the game. Yes, you are subject to being banned for posting a referral link in the forums and/or in the game. The site itself has been posted elsewhere on the forums in a couple of guides, it's a legitimate site from what I've heard (at least, it was a year ago) so it's not the link to the site itself that is causing us moderators such a headache today- it's the referral part included in that link.
Yes, there were forum bannings today as people decided to spam the entire forum with their referral links. All were sent a warning to stop first.
