Hi, I am still quite a bit of a newbie here.I exchanged some gem coupon for crit garnet and crit fire opal gems. But it say one increase my chance but when i
embed the garnet it increase both my crit number in the brackets and the outside one this also happened when i did it with my fire opal.What are the differences
between a garnet gem and a fire opal do they both increase the crit stat in the bracket and the outside???And which gem would be effective on a pure shadow
rogue??Pls answer

garnet gems increase the critical strike chance and fire opals increase critical strike damage. for example 1immaculate garnet gem gives 157 crit strike that mean it gives about 1,5% more to do a critical strike on the other hand 1 immaculate fire opal gives 15%critical damage that means when u do critical strike ur damage will be increased by 15%. most rogues i have seen use fire opal since they already have over 95%critical strike chance meaning any extra would be a waste since u already crit on each hit so they use extra crit damage to increase each hit.

Garnet=your chance to critical hit increase
Fire Opal=Critical hits you do, do more damage.

Garnet=Increases your chance to do critical hits
Fire Opal=Increaes the amount of damage you critical strike do(base critical damage is 150%, fire opal gem increases it so)

You forgot that Heart Of Eden give you 2% crit. This give you that extra crit % (The one in the bracket beside your CRIT).

Fire Opals = Off Hand (Heart of Eden)
Garnets = Weapon
Rubies = Glove
