Soul prints and gmuts are bound to prevent people from instant boosting with alts.
The old clothes are bound, the new clothes are bind on equip. They can't change the status of the old clothes since that would also change the status of what's already in people's inventory.

There is a way R2 could make old costumes follow the new rules without messing with the code at all though:Make new costumes.
It's actually a very simple solution. If we can have 3 items called Chocolate, and 2 items called participation pack, then why can't we have 2 items called Fancy Hairdo (F)?
So the current fancy hairdo (F) would be completely unaffected, not touched at all. Everyone who already has one would keep it. But the one in the shop would be removed and replaced by a NEW fancy hairdo (F) with the EXACT SAME stats, bonuses, and look, but it would be bind on equip (and it can give the bonus stats even if someone wears the old Elegand Dress (F).)
This would make tux/dress tradable without messing with the current ones people have in vault/inventory/wearingrightnow because it'd be its own new item code.
And the same would be done if bunny oufit, or any other old outfit, ever came back.
