currency problem

alright, I'm a bit confused why the currency on my inventory only shows a couple digits of the actual number, can some one explain to me this (like my copper coin show 79 when I know I have at least 800 and when my silver coins show 5 when I have 105)

100 Copper is equivalent to 1 Silver.
100 Silver is Equivalent to 1 Gold
100 Gold is to equivalent to 1 Platinum.

Does that clear things up?

so why does this game use this? it's bit confusing to me but I get it. How am I gonna know what my total currency is

Well, the total currency will just be based off how much you see within the coloured coins.
My total currency in a new server I have at the moment is 11 Gold, 32 Silver and 64 Copper (Well somewhere along those lines).

So, you can base it off of that.
