Yes viczar, i think he means a game client which has all the essential data which can be stored in cache. Because cache is removed, if they just put teh cache in a one-time download, we dun need ot worry about teh cache being removed. It would be a great help also to the slow-net people and it may make all the people who complain about no loading happier.
In-Short: Put teh things our computer can already store as cache in a permanent downloadable form. Make a client^^

Would be a nice idea, lesser lag, the only downside though is that the game might be more easier to get hacked if it released a stand alone version.

also, if someoen had teh capability to hack it, he could do it without teh client.
Also, teh feature should be that you can play with or without client

I used to play MMORPG with stand alone clients.
For players with slow internet connections that is worse.
You have to wait hours for the whole game to download before you can start playing.

With browser based, you only have to wait for the first map to download, which is a lot quicker.

To optimize, just make your cache size bigger on your web browser.

if we gtta download it, it will take up more space on your computer. also u will have to load it and also login anyway.
doing it on a broswer is easier

this would mean that you would have to re do the download every week & it would take about an hour-4+++ per update just like every other downtime for maint. instead of just one down time for everyone at one time then not having to worry about it. like say if someone doesn't log in for a month. they are gonna have to download 4 or more updates to their client which could contain 100's of packages , there's 6-16+hrs of updates on a decent connection, then if you encounter any sort of packet loss while downloading you might end up with a corrupt file that doesn't update right . i've played other games that do that, if you lag in middle of download most the time have to start ALL over. personally i think online version is better, it takes up less processing space &resources since data is mostly static server side besides the basics i need to run on my comp
