Crit dmg, crit defense , AP and AP defense.

  • Crit dmg, crit defense , AP and AP defense.

    Does anyone know how crit dmg, crit def, ap and ap def works? Ik Crit dmg gives a % but how much crit defense knocks off 1% of crit dmg? How much AP defense is needed to void AP? How much AP = 1% chance to ignore 50% of enemys defense?
    Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

    Crit damage is additional damage dealt when criting
    For example, player with 150% crit damage deals a critical strike
    Regular attack is 10k
    Critical becomes 25k

    To calculate it is: attack*(critical+1) <-- damage when critical, attack is your attack/magic attack*w/e skill multiplier

    Crit def is apparently 4% reduction per 10 crit def
    This caps at 100% and is an additive reduction
    For example, if you somehow had the cap% of 100, if you were targeted by the player with 150%, his critical damage would be only 50% and total damage is 15k instead of 25k

    Armor penetration and def is unknown to me
    there's no simple test other than testing 10 000 strikes with varying ap/ap def stats

      All that is correct, and Armor Penetration is like Assassin's Thrust (ignores x% of enemy's defence.) so, think of it as a permanent Assassin's Thrust. AP is able to ignore up to 50% of the enemy's armor, which AP DEF is able to fight off. I do not know how much is required to block out like 1% of the enemy's armor, but there ya' have it.

        BTW, forgot to mention, AP has no effect on mobs because I can prove that monsters don't actually have defence or reduction
        Ring of decay lv 5's effect shows improvement in damage, neither does blood pool (which reduces reduction by 100%)
        someone else will need to confirm whether or not ap bypasses red too.

          Savage/Slayer sets has AP+ right?
          AP def and AP is more effective in pvp Combats

              That is not entirely true...A player with 150% crit dmg,his regular attack being 10k,will crit for 15k not 25k.All the alts i made certainly DONT have their crits 2.5x as strong as their hits,and 150% crit dmg is the lowest possible a player can have.For example my crit dmg is 347%,so my crits will do 3.47x damage of their normal hits. (10000 = hit 34700 = crit)
