Maybe this is known out there but i have not seen a guide on how to do it so thought i would share my findings for others to read.
I have always thought it was unfair that most other vocations have distance attacks which they can use when afk boting so that they can stay in one place and have mobs "walk" to them and thus benefit from torch spawns very nicely. (Which we all know is the only useful way to level after crossing level 50-55) My alt priest was leveling a lot faster because this but i now found a way that knights can "emulate" the same situation. Don't expect it to work "as well" because you are not using distance attacks and thus will not be "attracting" more mobs.
There are a few things you need for this to work:
1. Area Spell (MUST HAVE) see note about them at the bottom of the page.
2. Decent Defense, or you can just hunting in low lvl areas. Try having mobs that hit you for 1 damage, and having HP regen eq helps a lot.
3. Be hunting "mele" mobs, this will not work on "distance atk" mobs. This means they walk close to you to attack, and thus "die" next to you, possibly spawning a torch.
4. Decent Mana Regen, seeing as this setup only uses spells you will be going though a lot of mana pots if you don't have good mana regen (I have gotten the [Olympic Rings Insignia] which gives 33 mana regen which works very well. With this I can turn off pot's and just use that.
AFK MODE HUNTING FOR KNIGHTS:
The whole thing involves setting your "Default" attack "in-correctly".
In your Skill's Window set your "Default Attack" to one of the 2 AOE attacks mentioned above, I would recommend using Saber Slash as it only has a 2 second cooldown, but ether should work. Then here is the trick, in your AFK Mode setting remove ALL other attacks beside the "other" AOE attack.
That's it. From now on your character will no longer "walk around". It should just be staying in one place and spamming AOE attacks. And getting "some" torches.
Note: This will only work if you have selected certain skills in your skill tree. You will need to have at least ONE aoe skill. There is 1 available by level 50 and a 2nd once you reach level 60, but you have to select the correct tree. Saber Slash can be used well before level 50 and Crater Smash is available at level 60. Also if you are a Tank type knight or use Earth Blessing you will(should) have Wave as well, which you probably leave turned on.
Sub Note: For those that don't know, remove your "Main" weapon when AKF Botting. I know we all should know about this, but I have not see it posted enough and end up telling A LOT of noobs to do so. I realize this will make killing slower when botting but you dont need fast kills. AND you will be dishing out a lot of wasted money by leaving you main weapon active.
