i can't for the life of me figure out how to set up my avatar. little help plz

Settings (located in the upper righthand corner) > Edit Avatar > Check "Use Custom Avatar" > Use either of the options given > Save Changes. Keep in mind the avatars can only be 100x100 or 64.0KB in size. I personally find it easier to use the second option of uploading from your own files rather than inserting a link as the first option depicts.
