THIS HAS BEEN PROVEN TO BE: REAL AND ACCURATE
***If there seems to be lack of information, be happy to add some more***
Scammer's Scheme:
1. If it's your first time to buy a Crystal-purchased item, you are lucky to find this one. The scammer will tell you to redeem the gift package at the Event Master, which is already (as they say) a dead program. And then the scammer will tell you to enter the code after you confirm to give him/her the DIAMOND/GOLD. BETTER WATCH OUT!
2. They make a conversation with you. Try to be professional if you are gonna buy from an unknown foreign object... They love making "friends" with you BUSINESS IS BUSINESS. ***Apparently, this one is not usually done by some***
3. They try to convince you THOROUGHLY. All these scammers are conniving snakes.
4. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING that players always scream out loud: NEVER BUY FROM LOWBIES. They can be just alts, or "feeling lucky" players.
***NOTES***
1. Try asking in World Chat if the person selling the Crystal-Purchased item can be trusted. I am pretty sure everyone would be willing to answer.
2. This is my Anti-Scam strategy:
a. Show the seller your 1D (trade and accept, but don't confirm)
b. Next, tell him/her to gift you the object.
c. Then once you get the gift, you will have to confirm the trade.
***LAST NOTE***
The buyer, along with the seller, SHOULD ALSO BE TRUSTED and not scam the seller. Remember: cash is more important than your diamond.
Happy Gaming!
