I can still feed my pets, just keep your loyalty above 15 to be sure I'd say. Feed it regularly should do the trick like real pets :P

If your pet's loyalty isn't below 100 you can't feed it. The maximum loyalty for any pet is 100. Every time you die with your pet equipped, or your pet dies it loses 5 loyalty.

Growth Food
After in the Patch Notes stating a "bug" has been fixed on the Loyalty/Feeding of pets, a new one sprung up. Growth food now may not be used even if Loyalty is below 99. I tried using a Growth Food on my 75 Loyalty pet, it says "Requires pet loyalty below 99" Please look into this and solve the problem. :P~ (I didn't provide a screenshot because my paint wasn't working -.-'')Crystal Saga
