Magic Tower Bug

I recently upgraded my blue orb to 8 but no stat changes took place....Is this suppose to be like this or is this some bug??

Upgrading orb levels does not increase any stats. Your stats will increase when your actual Tower level is upgraded.

Not a problem at all. It's difficult to distinguish what is or is not a bug these days.
