I do not do VL but I went in the other day and Saw i was getting a 8th place pack, even though i was not currently in 8th place. I watched this for a few days (2) and noticed i was still getting the 8th Place pack. even though it clearly showed different players were sitting in 8th ( not me).

I asked around and was told there are a lot of players Glitched in a Ranking but not on ranking list.

The screenshot you've attached is from last year. Is there a recent one you can provide that displays the same glitch?

Rank rewards are set for the day of, so you may have been 8th place at the time VL ranks were established for the day and was defeated later in battle after the remaining time had refreshed. Ranks 4-10 also receive the same pack -- 8th place does not have its own pack, so as long as you're within those ranks, you're receiving the correct pack.
