Everytime I log back into the game I have to make a new character and start from the beginning again. Is this some tye of bug/glitch?

Erm... Are you sure you're playing your char in the same server you made it?
Characters are server bound.

PLease make sure that you are logging in on the correct account and entering the correct server. Character are bound to the server where they are created.
