In the Gift Horse's Mouth quest, the player is charged with collecting 15 "shields" from the Goblin Chieftains. However, the required items that are dropped are DAGGERS. To the best of My knowledge, they are two very different things.

I've already completed the quest so it is not possible, sorry. If there is a way to look back on one's completed quests, then I will provide one.
