I have talked to many knights and Rogues that both afk for long periods at a time and none of them have had this problem. I have a level 4 Superior Frag orb and it loses all it's durability within 8 hours even if I'm not taking any hits in afk mode. I've talked to the knights about the same time durations and they say they lose maybe 20-30 durability for the entire 8 hour period. some go 2-3 days without losing all their durability yet with mages it's extremely quick every time. This has got to be fixed, it's extremely expensive to keep repairing every day when a full pack in my area doesn't even pay for it.

Do you take damage though? these mobs don't even get off a hit against me, I kill them in 1 hit maybe 2 if I hit low but before I come back from afk my weapon is at 0/167 and had been that way for a while. what's the point of having an awesome weapon if you can't even afk for 8 hours with it working? There is no way to auto repair it with gold while fighting and hammers have to be bought with crystal.

Nah, because I afk overnight and I kill mobs that dont even get close to me and they die in two hits. But when I wake up in the morning my weapon is all red! Now obviously there are times when you are afk that something is going to respawn close to you when you are fighting something else and attack you. But I dont think that it is just being hit that wears down the durability... I think that the longer you use your weapon then the faster it breaks too. Or the more you use it. I always master repair right before I set my afk. when I get up in the morning it is always red. I think thats just how it works.Server: (S39) Erie Marsh

Weapons lose durability every time you attack something, not when you are attacked. The faster you kill, the more mobs you attack with your weapon, so the faster your weapon turns red.New R2 Community Discord Server: https://discord.gg/VFMzFDqKq5
