Titan's Guard Knight skill bug/Knight passive skill bug

Please correct me if I'm wrong about this. Any clear explanation is welcome.

Possible Bug # 1:
The knight's passive skills Improved Earth's Blessing and Steroids gives 25% and 15% damage reduction respectively. That's a total of 40% pdef and mdef damage reduction but i only have 35% pdef and mdef damage reduction in total (without shield and zodiac equipment).

Possible Bug # 2:
Another knight's skill Titan's Guard says it will give you 40% damage reduction at max level 5. I have 40% pdef and mdef damage reduction but when I activated Titan's Guard level 5, it will go up to only 75% pdef and mdef damage reduction. 40% + 40% should be 80% right? i talked to another knight and he noticed that too but doesn't know the reason why as well.

Can anyone please clear this?

I don't know about the first bug but I'm pretty sure damage reduction is capped at 75%, that might be the reason why it doesn't go higher than 75% even with titan's guard.

The Max Damage Reduction Is 75% As Stated Above Any More Than That Will Be Useless.

Improved earths Blessing is a DEFENCE% buff, not a reductions buff. Only Earths Blessing gives a reductions buff, thats only 10%, so 10% + 15% from steroids is 25%, + zodiac and items is where your getting your reductions from.

Thank you all for the response. I didn't know that there is a cap for the damage reduction. That clears possible bug # 2 now. For possible bug #1, I have a correction, I removed all my gears and I deducted the damage reduction from soul, I have 25% pdef and mdef damage reduction only, that's with level 5 steroids and Earth's Blessing. So it's 10% from Earth's Blessing (not Improved Earth's Blessing) then 15% from Steroids. Hephaestus is correct.
