Every food I get and turn in I get only half of the contribution pts it says I should be getting... white, green, blue, purple. Is this correct? If so, why does it say otherwise in the interface?

Actually you're getting the right amount.
See.. a long, long, long time ago there was a maintenance that messed up the descriptions for the food items and it's never been fixed. However, the amount you get is the real amount that was originally written before that maintenance. I can even tell you when it happened: April 18th.
