Forced-logout, characters missing ...

I don't remember the alphanumeric of my original account name, but it appears that something drastic happened to it and that bothers me VERY much. I was prompted to login, and when I clicked on the Facebook icon, it popped up a very strange window asking if I wanted to "Play Now" - I clicked it, then I clicked my server, and THAT is when I got mad/worried...

It prompted me to create a new character.

I should not be able to create a new character because I had three:

I had a level 37 priest named Miruchi, who had received some very nice gifts from friends in the game, and a level 26 rogue named Lianthoea. My third character, Minothre, was not one that I had played much after creating.

So... WHAT happened and HOW do I get my characters back?

Log out of facebook, then log back into the facebook account you know your characters are attached to. Make sure the email address used on facebook is the same one it was when you created the account, as well.

Then, try logging back in again. If you're certain all the information is the same as it was before, and you're still being directed to the character creation screen, let me know.

I restarted my machine, since my browser is passworded to have my accounts (particularly facebook) connected and signed in when I open it.

After opening my browser and inputting the master password, I opened the Crystal Saga website (with no other tabs). I went to log in via the Facebook link. I did not receive a Play Now popup, but when I went to access Nightmoor Hollow, I am still being prompted to make a new character.

Please tell me that you can get my characters back?

There was no way that I could have known that the website would prompt me into creating what seems to be a new account with the same connected information as I had used initially.

It definitely appears as if CS has assigned me a new account. I received an automated email in my email account, welcoming me to the game. This... shouldn't be possible. I don't want a new account. I know a lot of people do the alt thing, but I am happy with my one account with my three original characters on Nightmoor Hollow.

Is there *any* record on your databases of which accounts are tied with which login method? Is there some way to trace the original account connected with my facebook?

I am also experienceing an issue logging in via windows live... it says error has occurred then empty token URL. Logging in through facebook also directs me to a new R2 id number account and prompts me to create a new character when I try to log it in lol.

Yours sounds like a different issue. Can you post a screenshot so I can see it?

you ever have one of those days..... it appears the issue has solved itself in the past half hour... whatever you did must have worked

same happened to my alt force to create new char in s55 though i have in s44,..all my items are in this alt s55OffSpring so bad
