For a high end player who maxes tenets, they add 8867 INT 9039 STR 1177 AGI plus Soul Bonuses. It is not unrealistic to have almost 20k INT and STR. Most would agree 75% reduction and 100k+ defense is pretty good, but this person would still die in one shot to rage explosion. Was it your intention to have tenets make rage explosion a click to kill skill? Making Hellstorm and Gotor particularly challenging to non knights?

So because I saw this thread, I decided to test it with my main character on my regular server. My main toon is a lvl 120 with very high tenets. They are not far off of being maxed out. couple more weeks though
I also had some friends that are around the same level, with high tenets test with me. A lvl 150 mage, with maxed out tenets could not kill my lvl 120 priest with high tenets. Also neither of us could make a dent into a lvl 150 knight, with only mortal tenets.
From what I can figure out, since it does not show you the % increase of your str, int, and agi stats, through some slight math, without buffs, it is atk + 150% in rage explosion. That is just a general idea from the tests that we have done (8-10 tests on many different toons). Coupled with the 30 minute cool down. Unless you were already a massive OP character without high tenets, then the tenets are not THAT significant in an insta kill setting. Honestly, with my stats, I do not see anyone that is anywhere near being OP being killed by someone that is not equally OP. And if they is the case then, honestly, the tenets do not matter all that much.
Not to mention that one of the characters that this was tested on was a full end rogue, and the toon dodged it EVERY SINGLE TIME! Even with a Full Agi toon casting the Rage and the Agi boost that comes with Rage (which I cannot figure out the boost on anyways since it does not show the % and it does not show any boost as you are casting) it would not be logical to cast rage on any toon that has any high amout of dodge, or on any high level rogue at all for that matter.
When this thread was posted, I thought, well if it is pretty much insta kill then it would be smart to post a bunch of rogues with high tenets in Kaymo at Gotor time, have them poof, then as soon as Gotor spawns have them cast Rage on everyone that would be a threat and then kill Gotor before the others can get back. But honestly, on my server, it would take every single rogue with high tenets casting Rage on our strongest player to get him to die, and by that time Gotor would already be dead.
Point of this post. No matter how OP the toon, unless you are casting on someone that is not nearly as OP as you, Rage Explosion is no where near an insta kill. And if that is the case tenets do not really mean much anyways. So your theory is shot.
If there are no stupid questions, then what kind of questions do stupid people ask? Do they get smart just in time to ask questions?

I do not know how you know it is a crit... when you use Rage it gives NO damage on your screen, it says NOTHING at all! The way that I knew what damage we were doing during testing was that we were very controlled (target, cast, esc) then checking on the damage that it does. But because it does not show you damage or anything when casting it is not possible to know when it is a crit or not. Nor if when you are in actual battle like Seng for you to actually know the exact amount that you are hitting for as there are many other things going on at the same time.

In the over 30 tests that I have no run on rage not a single time has it shown damage. Also everyone that tested it with me saw no damage. And I just tested it AGAIN, on both of my main toons, and no damage was shown.
