Try as we might my team and i cannot get these things to die. So a 2 parted question hopefully someone can answer.

Do they just have extremely high HP, or is it there Mdef that is high? our team consist solely of Matk

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Mobs usually don't have high def.
I'm pretty sure that it's mostly high hp.

You better have aoe stuns in your party. Group them, then meteor and pet stun. They will do almost no dmg to you due to permanently being stunned / silenced.
