Fire Lord Gender

I am AM ranger and recently got my FL which is female. My question is does it make a difference in the pet gender as to what skills the FL will learn or on the power of the FL. I pretty sure this has already been discussed in forum cuz I remember of seeing something about the gender, but with so many other posts on pets, I could not find my answer when I did a search. Could some1 please be so kind and give me some information on FL and specific genders? Thanks tons 4 your help...

I believe a post in one of those threads stated it made no difference what gender it was.
