When you upgrade, you can use bound and unbound gmuts together.
I didn't bother taking a screenshot of it because when I did it, I thought it was obvious they'd make it that way just like for soul prints. But then I found out there are people out there who think you can't use bound and unbound gmuts, so I wanted to clear that up.
Well you can. Just remember that it'll look in your inventory in the order it finds it. So make sure the bounds ones are first if you want to get rid of them first.
Ex: you need 38 gmuts for an upgrade, you have 80 gmuts and 4 bound gmuts.
order 1: 80 unbound, 4 bound -> 80-38 = 42 unbound, 4 bound
order 2: 4 bound, 80 unbound -> 4-4 = 0 bound, 80 - 34 = 46 unbound.
Or to be careful, and using the same example, you could just make sure to only have 34 unbounds and 4 bounds on you and the rest in your vault.
Now go forth and tell the people in your servers that don't read forums so they know about it too
