  • Official Rules regarding PvP on PvP servers needed

After an incident today in which the final verdict was:

"the strategies you use in pvp may or may not be against the rules"

I have searched for those rules to ensure we as a guild aren't violating them. but alas the search yielded 0 zip and nada

    The Incident:
    • High level top casher with PK level caught AFKing in mid level zone. ganged and killed by opposing guild
    • Opposing guild posted screen shot with storyline on forums as lesson that even top cashers arent immune to retaliation for going on PK rampages.
    • GMs from CS were called in by top level casher, took down post. decended upon our server and told us to stop PKing said top casher.

    The day before:
    1. Same high level top casher went on a rampage after losing yet another LG battle to a guild full of no big cashers. Racking up pk level of 70+ in a matter of minutes.

    The facts:
    • No bugs were used to gain advantage.
    • Hardly any monsters were harmed in the event
    • No clear rule violation that anyone could see happened.

    The result:
    • Post a set of rules which all can follow and abide by, and be prepared to have multi GM intervention on slightest transgression of those rules, IE multi tickets etc
    • realize that a pvp server is just that, a pvp server. if a top casher dont like being ganged while afk with a high PK level, there are many ingame remedies which do not involved running to gm demanding they do something

Remedies to avoid being ganged while afk:

DONT GO ON MASSIVE PK SPREES IN EVIL MODE!!!!!!

This needs a resolution and really needs it asap since GMs were called in, and did show up in an attempt to intervene in a pvp related matter:
If this needs to go a few steps up for resolution, we welcome that.

Let us get an official verdict from CS itself regarding PvP issues: and if rules are forthcoming, please create a rules section that can easily be found by all those interested.

    Thank you in advance

*Not an official but wanted to portray my thoughts*

This player went on a killing spree and suffered the consequences - which was being killed because the idiot decided to AFK in a Midzone.
A GM comes in to stop the act and deletes a thread along with it to prove a hypotheses people that couldn't happen?

I find that complete ****. Sounds like favoritism - however, I would like to see proof of this said GM, also.

Anyways, there aren't any rules regarding PvP in any reason.
The point stands is that this said player decided to go into Evil Mode - and he took the risk of dying by ANYONE and ANYWHERE.

If this was against the rules, then why has it not happened to other players who do this same thing - example, me?
I killed a person with 5 PK Level at least 30 times.

if the person you killed was one of CS top 5 cashers, brother and they went EMO afterwards, yes you would get GM visit as well )

Lol at the edit reason xD
Anyways, they shouldn't expect to be immortal. Cashers never stay immortal - maybe in the beginning because of the idiotically huge gap - but other than that, expect to be killed at all times - especially while in Evil Mode.

At least the person I killed didn't care and just kept doing his own thing.
Hell, I even made all his equipment go 0 =.=

There's gotta be more to the story than this. I could see if the casher person found a way to prove harassment of some sort, then people would be asked to back off.. Since there was a thread, I suppose it would be easy to make such a case.

Any threads that are directed at a person can be removed if the person asks, depending on content of the thread, so that part is understandable.

While waiting for the one who got killed by them, allow me to set this clearly. This is a PvP game or it's just a game. Killing someone is fine; getting killed is nothing rude and harassing someone by words is disrespectful. My question is: whose fault was it? I can't believe she complained to the GM for getting killed while her PK level skyrocketed. I want answers from GM though I heard that they're in favor of top level cash players. I thought GMs have no sides, stay neutral and listen what the people are saying. If you read carefully the ToS, there's no statement regarding PvP aka getting killed or killing players not allowed. Something's wrong here and as far as I know, R2Mark came to our server and warned them not to harass her. R2Mark, what's going on here?

i'm guessing that the chat rules in game are the same as ones here. or people wouldn't get muted for things they said. there is general competitive talk that is expected in every game with people at each others throats. i understand what its like being on top. everyone wants ur head on a platter. if any of those people whispered obscene things a lot to them every day. that would show a high level of poor sportsmanship. http://kidshealth.org/teen/food_fitn...smanship.html#
in which they would have every reason to ask them to back off in that way an put each other on ignore.
i understand being the little guy being picked on by the casher an owning them back. gotta remember not to cross the line though. general competitive smack talk like " omg that saber flash was weak an puny, i shall crush you till you sit down" its when ppl take it too far an whisper things like "imma find out ur real name an google search ur house an blah blah blah" where its gone a wee bit too far. i mean . gotta have respect for the game an the players in victory an defeat.
excessive boasting i doubt is against the rules- but it'll mostly just make ppl look like a jerk or a idiot. if someone has you on ignore, then you use alts to bother them. that is harassing them tho. albeit i'm not a gm as well an don't know exactly what went down. from personal exp i've been in these situations before.
good guideline though. be a good sportsman -even when facing ppl who are gamesmen an cash to win at any cost then brag like crazy

Thanks for the reminder but I heard that casher has started it since she's very rude, especially when she boasted about her credit card use in the game. In short, she disrespected most non-cash players.

like in cases like that. or in fights IRL. doesn't matter who started it really. if they are reporting ppl for it. report them when you see them do it too. just cause they are a casher doesn't mean they can't get muted for stuff they say if its just insanely foul.
but ya that pic is a good example for comparison. we don't like gold spammers. we report them an they go away. if haven't done anything wrong, just continue as usual

After all, nobody is above the law and God. It's okay to pk someone or being killed, as long as never complain about it, like everyone else.

Still awaiting some *official* rules regarding PvP. so we as a guild know what to expect.

If none are forthcoming then please let us know that as well.

The absence of response to this request is in and of itself , strange...
