It's usually due to either the obvious: wrong pw/user combination, but sometimes it's due to a bad internet-connection. Try a different browser or when your internet is more stable. I've had this issue as well little while ago when internet got choppy.Crystal Saga:

It happens a lot, I experience it as well. However when it happens to me the error message pops up but still logs me in. Sometimes clearing cookies and cache will help.
