I was wondering if someone could tell me how it works, like how does it reduce critical damage? And is it worth investing in immaculate citrines that gives an additional +38 crit def.?

I would like to know as well. Here's the theories I read up on with old boards:
1) It decreases the chance of being crit on. Which I doubt since 100% = 100% xD. I could be wrong.
2) It decreases the crit dmg received by 4% per 10 crit def. It's theoretically based on blood priest passive increase crit def by 10 when the description says it decreases crit dmg received by 4%.
3) It maxes out at 100% crit dmg you can prevent. However my friend has enough to stop 100% but with more crit def, the damage received goes down by their word. However I'm not sure it's because of the range of attacks.
Usefulness? It's pretty hard to tell, but it seems to work well in pvp. Pve not so sure sorry.
