I need some quick advice.

I just started the game the yesterday and I got back on, I made a knight class because I figured it would be best to learn the game as a tank.
I just wanted to know if it is the right choice to go armor or attack I chose armor because I thought it would be better if I would take the damage for the team. Please let me know if I am wrong before I get too far up in the levels

Starting with a tank build is a very wise decision. You'll be lacking in terms of doing damage, but having high reduction will definitely make up for it.
