Hi all, this is my first guide so bare with me.
Blood priests are a very mysterious, they can be from Tank, to DPS or to debuffing really depends on your choice of play, in this guide im gonna focus on the Debuffing side of Blood priests
First of all lets look at the skills,
strange isnt it? this is me at level 66 (Mortal) lets take a look at the Curses!
Curse Mastery Lv 5: increases Max HP by 10 percent and makes it so you can get lv 5 Curses (Which we will need ^.^)
Curse of weakness lv 5: the main thing we want to look at here is the "decreases the enemies attack by 25 percent" this is very handy vs high DPS classes
Ring of Decay Lv 5: again the main thing we want to look at is the "decreases the enemies defences by 35 percent" this will make it easyer to kill other players.
and the last Curse, phlegmatic Curse lv 1, reduces their movement speed by 45 percent, can be usefull for when you need to run but we want the damage it does mostly.
Next up, The blood Oriented Line,
Tenacity lv 1: reduces Crit damage taken by 4 percent, i never bothered with this skill personally, mostly good vs rogues but if you use your curses Right the rogue shouldnt get close to you or would die by the time he/she gets to you
BloodFlow lv5: increases your attack by 15 percent aslong as your health is above 70 percent, this is one of those skills where the higher your HP the longer the skill effects last, luckerly Curse mastery gives a nice bonus to your HP, vs mellee clases it will benifit the most, vs rangers or mages however it depends how strong the player is
enchanced Circulation lv 1: i love this skill, unfortunatly i dont have enough skillpoints to get it to lv 5, lv 1 it increases your HP regen by 8 and increases your Magic damage absorbtion by 3 percent which is always handy vs mages and nature rangers lv 5 increases your magic damage absorbtion by 15 percent.
the lack of skillpoints prevent me from going any further but thats the price you gotta pay with a debuff Blood priest. but i would suggest working on "demons Grasp lv 5" as it stuns an enemy for 8 secs, giving your 3 AoE's time to chip away at their health
now, the attack skills, pretty aint they? most of you will prob be wondering why i have life drain lv 5, but ill get to that in a minute
skip past blood beam and life drain, you will want the improved versions later on, but if your low level then its good to go for Normal life drain lv 5 untill you get your free SoT at level 50
Blood pact lv 1: good skill, its an AoE attack skill that damages all players around the caster (it says monsters only but ive noticed it damages all players aswell, idk if this is a typo in the skill or a bug) you can correct me if im wrong people! lol. its main damage is based on your attack and HP combined + has a bleed effect but unfortunly has a max value of how much damage it will take, it says "1 percent of HP every second" and under it, it will have a max value, lv 1 is only 72 HP per second, not that great untill you get improved which is much better.
Improved Blood beam is your main attack, though i would recommend only using it if all your other skills are on Cooldown
Now the grand mystery, Improved Life drain, lets take a look shall we?
this skill doesnt really say EVERYTHING that it does, so lets see what it really does shall we?
as you can see it says "damage bonus 10 percent" but what is the damage bonus?
as you can see it says "increases magic damage by 10 percent" but what it is ment to say is that it "increases magic damage taken by 10 percent" so it makes all your attacks deal 10 percent more damage to the player handy isnt it? but thats not the only benifit from it
as you can see it says "reduces magic damage by 10 percent" but really it is ment to say "reduces magic damage taken by 10 percent" increasing your Magic damage absorbtion by 10 percent making it easyer to survive vs Magic damage users,
the skills cooldown is only 6 secs, and it lasts for 4 secs, giving you a 2 second interval, make sure your continuously using this skill vs players
Phew this is alot of typing
next is the attrib points, i personally went full INT, but the choice is yours on what you want to go for,
soul: i would focus on Light soul, untill you get to lv 60 to unlock it get your ice and your brillance all lv 5
