    Priest actually should have a total of 8s stun if Demon Grasp is maxed out, so if no one interupts, you will have 4s stun in the end. Just that the first 4s is like stunning yourself too, and thus if any other enemy walks by and stuns/silences you, you are as good as dead ><

    But my argument that in a 1v1 situation, whoever gets stunned/silenced first will die still stands

      Damn haven't noticed that, well it still has 3 min cooldown, might SoT and try it anyways.. >.> Ah ***.. the cast time is as long as the stun is .. of course it was too good (for Priest) to be true

        You still have to channel that stun for the first 4s, during that time both you and the target can't do anything, and if you Move the skill is cancelled. However after that first 4s, normal stun duration is applied on your target, so maxed demon grasp will give you a total of 8s stun, with you being free during the last 4s (that's what I heard, never tried blood tree myself, I love my buffs :3)

          Well when I looked at the description the cast time changed to 8 sec after I maxed it, also just SoTed back ><

                  No I'm not a ranger, but I have seen what my friend as a non-cash nature ranger could do, including in ladder, seng, GR, landgrab. He could be our tanker for ladder until lvl 49 and provide a good DPS at the same time, could win in 1v1 situation in pvp against people with more soul completion than him. And you are saying that rangers are only for dungeons? Lol.
                  Ranger is a "jack of all trades, master of none" kind of class. They can do anything ranging from DPS and disable to tanking and healing. They just can't do it as good as the class meant for just 1-2 specific roles.

                  And I want to repeat my last line: the cases that you listed when a ranger get killed applied to EVERYONE, hardly anyone could survive past 4s stun/silence against someone equally geared at end game.

                    i'm a ranger, i tank all the way to 51th floor ladder also, i'm not a casher..
                    +13 eqs except helm, average gemmed eqs, i dont see the point y i should go beyond flawless or perfect, extreme angellord wing +4 atm, hmm what else, hellwing ofc, super frag bow VII.. cant do nothing about goddess blessing thou since i'm not a casher

                    trap? some typo there, wither trap for example, stunned for 2sec every 3sec, well the correct one is, immobilize..
                    sleeping trap? yea good at seng, rainforest map, but not at normal map, since ur pet will wake ur enemy up, or someone else will..

                      Heal has never helped in pvp, not when priest can heal like 30k and everyone can dish out a few 100k+ crit in seconds lol.

                      And yes, I know ankle shot doesn't work all the time, but I'm sure it has better chance to hit than rogue's stun if your target is moving around (honestly, ask any rogue of how hard it is to stun a running target)

                      I also know wither trap has typo in its description, just like priest's curses before

                      Yes, ranger can be weaker than other classes since you can't stun, but why can't you realise that your silence/slow combo is easier to pull off on your target than rogue's stun? Sure mage is pretty strong with instant ranged aoe stun, but then they have lowest hp and defense of all classes. Rogue is also damn vulnerable out of stealth too. Priest doesn't even have a way to disable the enemy from attacking while is still free to attack the disabled target. The only point that I think I'm agreeing with you is that knight is too strong: high hp, high def, can hook + stun, can leech damage. Beside that point, ranger is no less than mage or rogue, and is surely better than priest.

                      And my non-cash nature ranger has 18k matk with just slayer (would be higher with frag), so yeah my opinion might be a bit biased as it is based on seeing that friend plays. But it doesn't change the above facts I stated.

                        ur statement about better than a priest? hmm depends.. i think priests have the advantage, seriously, OP instant damage with blood pact and 1sec casting of master light beam.. damn thats OP man.. and, bloodfog totem..

                        knights r way too OP, yes !!! 15sec max hook, 30s titan guard, passive on def n reduction, stun, 2s saberslash, + vampire knight on scion skill lol name it, lots of OP skill i havent mentioned..

                        what i mean is, ranger sucks badly, 3s casttime OP skill? while other job class' have their own OP instant [semi for priest] skill
                        thats all for now.. seng time

                          Blood pact is not instant, if you play priest you will notice there is like 1s delay between the animation and the damage. And 1s cast light beam doesn't matter if you can instant cast silencing strike. Even if the priest has Goddess Embrace to avoid silence, the cast + animation of ONE light beam is still slow enough for a ranger to fit 3 instant-cast skills there.

                          And going for bloodfog totem means blood build, hence no buff, angel blessing nor goddess embrace. Bloodfog totem also doesn't stealth us right away after use (a few seconds delay depends on the totem's lvl). In this case I think it breaks down into each player's individual skill that determine the outcome of the match.

                          No comment on knight, they really don't have a clear weakness. Heard my friend said that it is hard to hook a moving target, but I have never tried that myself (I have a lvl 100 knight alt for pve only xD). The only weakness would be the lack of ranged skill, but in 1v1 hook will screw you over =\ (could never win in Seng against a good knight with hook, my goddess embrace's cooldown is far too long to avoid the combo of hook+stun+[insert all attacks here]+shockblade+[insert more attacks here], and my crit light beam doesn't even pick off half of the knight's hp)

                          And even though your Strong shot has 3s cast, your other skills are still instant cast with decent damage. At least that's better than priest who has only 4 attack skills if you go hybrid (not counting curses): light beam (cast and slow animation), blood beam (a little bit better than default attack), spirit infusion (50% as strong as lIght beam, but instant) and blood pact (around spirit infusion damage, but has a nasty delay before the damage is applied). A full blood priest might stand on par with ranger if only our scion skill and -% crit dmg skill work properly >.>

                          Lastly, you agree with me that ranger is a "jack of all trades, master of none" class, then of course they can't do 1 specific role as good as the class meant to do that job. Just that they are versatile enough to get out of any situation, and are far from weak.

                            well idk how ur stat looks like, but, when a priest with more than 110k HP is tough for a ranger to beat, on 1 vs 1.. except if we crit all the time

                            i do have a lvl 100 scion priest alt, but with battle bear its hard to tell the dif, not goin to get my alt a hellwing anyway.. but based on my experience playing a priest, priest still has some almost-instant OP skill with OP damage compares to rangers

                            well eidolon coming up, no need to complain anymore for me

                              I can't login right now, but I remember my stats (fully buffed with HP, GP, CoP, no elixir nor blessing):
                              - 125k hp
                              - 18k4 matk
                              - 20k2 heal
                              - 9k pdef (9% reduction with olympic insignia, 16% with honor insignia)
                              - 13k mdef (same reduction as above)
                              - 156% cast speed (145% with honor insignia)
                              - 264% crit dmg, 39% crit chance

                              And I still can't win against that non-cash nature ranger friend who has 18k matk, 31% magic dmg reduction and around the same crit as mine >< Guess I just suck at pvp then, lol

                              And priest doesn't have that many instant skills, as I said: only 1 skill if you dont take blood skills except for curses (my build), 2 skills if you do hybrid (I still hate blood pact for its freaking delay), then if you do blood build, you get 1 more instant hp drain skill that does 100% matk. That's all our instant damage skills o.o

                                hey u got an awesome stat there bro, n a hi crit chance for a priest.. u really know what path u re goin there

                                that ranger u talking about was using magic arrow for his atk, and main AM skill tree coz of his hi magic reduction..

                                well, eidolon coming up after maintenance anyway, we will see what kind of eidolon skill on blood priest look like..

                                imo, i prefer blood pact and light beam combo, add spirit infusion there, + hope that all of those are crit hits
