  • Shadow Rogue Guide

    Hello everyone,
I do not play on the r2games servers, but i play on the Aeria Games servers. Ive seen many guides on rogues that personally think don't work. With that, I want to share my guide on a shadow rogue. Now even though i am shadow rogue, i have alot of skills on the combat tree as well.

    Pros of rogues:
-4 second stun and deals damage very very quickly
-High dodge means you will barely get hit
-High crit means you damage people very quickly as well and puts less of a strain on patk

    Cons of rogues:
-If you don't kill someone in the 4 second stun, you're dead unless you get the second stun off
-Early game is very hard for rogues. It took me until I was in my 50s until i could solo Vault Nightmare without buffs
-Defense is utter **** until you become scion or eido

Go full strength at the beginning since you don't have the wings, soul, or frag weapon to compensate for the loss in physical attack from full str. Once you rebirth, go full agility

I prefer the skills on the combat tree and the passives on the combat tree as well. Once you rebirth, put skill points into Quick Death (Shadow Scion Skill) and into Vagabonds Swiftness

Use savage gear until you get into your 60s. At that point, unless you have purple savage and can equip it, use nightshade armor.

    Gems:
    Helmet: Sapphire
    Armor: Amber
    Gloves: Ruby
    Boots: Amber
    Ring: Pink Diamond
Necklace: Peridot (not as important as the others)
    Off-Hand: Fire Opal

    Soul:
    Focus on Void and Brilliance.
Void: Illusion, Simplicity, Deftness, Acceptence, and Forgiveness are the highest priority. Truth and Spirit are important, but they cost alot of Soul Shards.
Brilliance: Rage and Vulgarity are the highest priority. Cruelty, Madness, and Ferocity are very important as well.
Light: Power, Warmth, and Numbness are the only important ones
Ice: Toughness, Preciousness, Flexibility, and Stability are the only important ones
Heart: Everything except for the healing boosting ones are important

    Final Notes:

Do not give up on your character in the beginning. Rogues are tough to play in the beginning, but midgame-late game they destroy everything. Keep pushing and your character can become awesome as well. Good Luck to everyone.

Maxed Shadow Strike is pretty good too, also do not give up on extra 25% crit damage from Imp. Slayers Call when you get spare points of course.

Blade Twist 5 is a must-have no matter what type you are - strong hitting skill + pdef debuff.
