Check what the quest sais and check that you have atleast 1 free inventory slotStalkers OP.

Thanks , I have atleast 2 inventory slots but still cannot find the puppet - can click on its name and it takes me to the middle of some rock gollumsComment

The Clown Puppet is some what of a "rare" drop that those mobs give. Just keep a few of them and eventually it will appear.Helpful Links
