    PVP server

    I'm still new and I want to know a good PVP server to play on.

    And I also don't know how to tell the preferences of a server.

    As a new player, I wouldn't suggest starting on a PvP server unless you're prepared to be surrounded with players who are already OP. It'll be a difficult time playing catch-up as well as there being a good chance you'll be pushed around a lot by your seniors. Unfortunately, there hasn't been a recent PvP server that was released -- the only newer servers you'll run into are PvE. Deciding between a west or east coast server will depend on your timezone and which is more conveniently timed for where you are located.
