Okay, R2 did in fact post this notice a day in advanced. They are currently undergoing maintenance now due to Chinese New Year. This will be the last Maint for a couple weeks, and as such, they had to do it early. Maybe if you actually checked the forums daily instead of when something is wrong, you might have seen it. I don't see why R2 needs to be blamed....
