I picked a male avatar with red hair when I started, but my in game character has dark blue hair and a tail, and looks more like a girl. Is this normal? lol

Thanks for the reply. I don't know why, but when I started, I saw like no male mages, so I wasn't sure. Only after like my third day, I saw "ONE" other. I might do research on priest. I assume the playstyle is similar to mage if I focus DPS. I mean, if I want to look like a girl, I'll play a female character.

If you want to look like a guy playing a priest isn't any better than a mage. I know one of my friends had a male alt priest that he referred to as her for 3-4 months before I pointed out it was a male priest. Given that this was near the start of our server, when there weren't many serious priests around to buff people regularly (they were usually grinding or something still) he used said alt a lot. The fact that I had to point out that a character he used frequently was a male before he realized it should tell you how bad priests are.
