how happens a merge ?

i am posting this topic cause for the old player who knew how happen merge, cause i want to know if the item in vault are removed or if the items in vault i keeps.
should i transfering all my items in my inventory for save them if the server where i am merge ?

The only thing that happens to your character is you get a (S##) in front of your name. Nothing else on your character is affected.
