A Hacker and What the Heck are You Doing R2?

    Recently, (S60)Shen was hacked.

Though the owner of the account DID in fact sell his laptop, he was careful to remove ALL personal information from the laptop. However, after a month of selling the laptop, his account was taken over by the alleged person that he 'sold the laptop to'. This person is claiming that Shen did not remove all his personal information and he found all the information in some sort of cache somewhere.

Here's the discrepancy with this story.

    1. He knows how to play CS, really well. I know Shen really well, and besides one other guy who isn't the current owner of the laptop, he never told me of anyone he knew that knew how to play CS.

    2. The hacker took a FULL month before taking the account over. A month. Which means that there's a high possibility that he gained the information through foul play.

    3. Shen removed ALL personal information from his laptop.

What's MORE interesting is how R2 messed everything up.

The people of server 60 Extingent Buff all know Shen really well, especially his guild mates and personal friends. So we all knew immediately that something was wrong. First he deleted everyone on his friend list and then started playing around with Shen's character.

But what's worse is R2's FAIL at removing the hacker and returning the account to the rightful owner, who moved away from where he lived during August of this summer.

Instead of asking people who know the original player well, R2 messed up and gave everything over to the hacker without actually questioning what the heck was going on. We even have proof that the current person on (S60)Shen isn't the original owner.

I'm writing this here right now because Shen's a really great guy and a friend of mine along with a lot of other people on the server of Extingent Buff. It's outrageous that he's the guy who gets the short end of the stick because whatever they used to determine who should get the account is dependent on the area the account was first created in.

I hope this will help clear up the ridiculous negligence on R2's part. If you want the proof, I can post it.

Once again, the owner of the account needs to send in a ticket. The owner is welcome to PM me for further assistance.

As this thread is in General Support, and has been satisfactorily answered, this thread is now closed.

please do something.. everybody is irritating about what the hacker is doing... and this is not fun.. this is a game, the game should be fun, but with this hacker it s not.
At least you shoul temorate ban him.
If screenshots arent good enough, so... how can you prove it? you cant! and, if R2 saves the conversations in any place, you should just go and look in it to see if it is true or not....

It's really not valid proof to ban someone. If it was, people would get anyone they didn't like banned, because screenshots can be faked. I'm not saying any of the screenies here are, or that there is a player who lost their account. I'm just saying, when it comes to an account, only the owner of it can make a claim about it being lost.

'cept if you want to know there were multiple screenshots and half on World Chat, done by multiple people that say the same thing. Like heck I'd go through the pain of editing SS. Plus there are various programs that can run images to show if the image has been tampered with or not.

Ticket number or not, that's still valid enough proof to temp ban people.

There isn't anything R2 can do unless the real owner comes forward. Screenshots from guild chat are not sufficient proof. You wouldn't believe the number of people who lie about breaking rules, when they really aren't.

If the real owner was all that interested in getting the account back, if it is indeed lost, then I would be seeing a ticket number so I can make sure it's handled quickly, and I have not gotten one yet.

No. Action is still able to be done because of the ToS.

"You must not attempt to access any Account that is not your own."

Clearly the current pilot of Shen is not the original owner, thus violates the ToS which means he is still viable for ban.

If the real owner did not report then no action can be done.

Ask the owner(shen) to create a new account and file a ticket and the rest, should go smoothly. Wish you guys good luck in retrieving back the real account for the real owner~~~

Okay soo say that was his only account. How would he even be able to send in a ticket? Without having to make a new account?

And seriously... a temp ban would be nice until all of this is sorted thru. Unless you guy's really want to lose more players...
