Why can't I get back into my character?

I just spent like 3 hours on this game and tried to log back in after a 30 min abscence. Why can't I log back into my character?

did u log back to the same server?

All characters are server-bound, so if you went to Server A and played for 3 hours, then logged off and somehow ended up on Server B, then your character will not show until you access Server A again.
