So, there are a huge amount of for-cash mounts. Some of them are quite good looking, but have worse statistics than GMut mounts. So...why not introduce a cosmetic slot for mounts, so that people can have the aesthetics of one mount, while having the stats of another.
Same could be implemented for wings. I hate the look of divine wings, but I love the look of demi-god.
This would encourage people to cash for mounts, even if they have no interest in the mounts stats. I know r2 doesn't do their own coding, but meh. Why not make the suggestion.
