You could make a character in the market place who would keep up with whats going on in HIS market(and you could make his character just like that: a cross between the godfather and Johan Jameson) So when you go to him with items you would like to sell he would give you slots to place the items in, like say in item synthesis. When you place your items in the slots it would show a list beside the item showing three pieces of information: 1)what was the highest price the item sold for 2)what was the lowest price the item has sold for 3)what is the average price the item is selling for NOW.
Honcho could also buy and sell certain items for the game itself for a percentage of a profit, therefore, if someone needed money badly and didn't want to wait for someone else to buy there stuff they could go to honcho and they would sell their items for say 80% profit, &, then possibly sell those items back for say 120% profit if someone really needed the items badly.
Also if someone wanted to do business with Honcho it would say cost them 15 silver every single time, so if you wanted to do business doing it all at once would be the best option.
