I'd like to suggest to make the item synthesising system include synthesising bound and unbound gems together. Not only will it free up vault space (people with chipped and flawed gem coupons and can't get them to scratched since they don't have multiples of 3 of them), and also it makes life easier getting frag shards and higher levelled gems.
